What is remote service?
Remote service consists of a technology that allows you to give your computer technician remote control of your computer as they were sitting beside you.
You have the ability to turn this feature on and off. There is no ‘stealth’ mode for this service, you are always aware when it’s being used. The connection between your computer and the technicians uses the same 256 bit encryption technology used with banking and other financial institutions.

- Check and make sure your Anti spyware/malware program is up to date and perform a scan to remove unwanted items that might have gotten on to the system unknowingly
- Check the hard disk for free space and defragment it.
- Remove any programs that are starting up on the system that do not need to be.
- Remove temporary internet and system files that build up on a regular basis.
- Remove any unneeded registry files
- Clear the prefetch file.
- Perform a speed test to insure your internet connection is up to speed
- Check your backup system, making sure it is performing as expected
- Make sure all critical patches and updates are installed and current.
- Make sure your firewall is on and operating correctly
- Check the system time and adjust if needed
